Among the DDI products to be shown at the ACE14 conference are the company’s full line of Safety Blades – including the Ductile Iron Safety Blade and Ductile Iron Ring Saw Safety Blade – as well as a wide range of concrete blades, Husqvarna cut-off saws, and ICS chain saws. When asked about his company’s third appearance at ACE, DDI founder and president Nicholas Mione said, “Oh, it’s going to be great. We’ve never been to the East Coast before for a water show, and we’ll be able to introduce water companies there to the safest and most effective blade for cutting pipe.” He added that their appearance at ACE was “staying true to our mission to make pipe repair easier and job sites safer for the guys in the field.”

Founded in Las Vegas, NV in 2008 by Nicholas Mione and Gionni Mione, DDI is now the largest supplier of diamond blades to governmental agencies in the United States and Canada. Up to 90 percent of water and underground utilities, fire departments, and foundries in these two countries use DDI’s signature Ductile Iron Safety Blade and Fire Rescue Safety Blade.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Desert Diamond Industries (DDI) has introduced its Cooperative Safety Increase Program (CSIP) to provide the Fire Rescue Safety Blade to as many firefighters as possible.

According to DDI president Gionni Mione, CSIP is based around fire departments committing to purchase either the Fire Rescue Safety Blade or other fire rescue blades, based on their buying criteria. This allows DDI to know how many blades its customers need and to make them in large batches with lower per-unit costs instead of in smaller batches as they’re ordered. The more fire departments in the program, the lower DDI can drive its costs down.

CSIP’s goal is to reduce the Fire Rescue Safety Blade’s cost below that of unsafe welded and abrasive blades and make it more financially attractive to cash-strapped fire departments, according to Mione.

“Our goal is to urge departments to consider using the Safety Blade because it’s been tested by the larger departments to be the safest,” he said.

Fire departments that join CSIP within its first six months can buy the 14-inch Fire Rescue Safety Blade for $164 each, according to Mione. This cost should decrease as more fire departments join the program.

CSIP will initially be offered to volunteer fire departments, but will expand to all fire departments that DDI does business with.

LAS VEGAS, NV, Jan. 3, 2013 – Desert Diamond Industries (DDI) will exhibit their complete line of diamond blades at World of Concrete 2014 in Las Vegas, NV. They will be in Booth N2159 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center from Jan. 21 to Jan. 24.

Among the DDI products to be shown at World of Concrete 2014 are the company’s full line of Safety Blades – including the Ductile Iron Safety Blade and Ductile Iron Ring Saw Safety Blade – as well as a wide range of concrete and asphalt blades, Husqvarna cut-off saws, and ICS chain saws. DDI will also raffle off a new Ductile Iron Safety Blade every day and a free saw on the convention’s final day, as well as unveil a new distributor program.

This is the second time that DDI has exhibited its products at World of Concrete. Their first appearance at the convention was last year.

“We’re more excited to attend the World of Concrete trade show this year than we were last year for several reasons,” said DDI president Gionni Mione. “Firstly, we have a lot more valuable industry information to contribute to the participants who stop by our booth. This valuable information includes market and industry trends for where to best focus estimation effort so contractors can increase their work schedule.”

DDI’s booth at World of Concrete 2014 will be twice as large as its booth from last year. Mione said about this larger booth, “We’ve put over $3 million into just researching the most dangerous trends professional contractors are faced with in their business life. The displays for this information required some extra space, and we also had some more funds budgeted for trade shows this year because of our growth.”
